Funfetti Cake

Kyle LOVES everything funfetti. I decided that it was finally time to make one from scratch. It came out amazing!!

1 2/3 cup all purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup light brown sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter; melted

1 large egg

1/4 cup plain yogurt

3/4 cup milk

1 tablespoon vanilla

2/3 cup sprinkles (do not use nonpareils)

in a large bowl mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; set aside

spray a 9x9 baking pan with nonstick spray

melted the unsalted butter

mix the sugar and brown sugar with the butter

 add the egg, yogurt, milk and vanilla

 mix the wet ingredients with the dry

add the sprinkles and combine

pour into the pan and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees; once that time is up cover with foil and bake for an additional 13-14 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean

let cool completely before taking cake out of the pan. frost with your choice of frosting. I chose a vanilla buttercream.
