Crock Pot Beef with Broccoli

This recipe is really simple and delicious!

1 pound boneless beef chuck roast, sliced into thin strips
1 cup beef consumme
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons cooled sauce from the crock pot after being cooked
Fresh broccoli florets (as many as desired)
Hot cooked rice


mix together the beef consumme, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil and garlic

 pour mixture over the sliced beef in the crock pot; cook on low for 6-8 hours

after that time is up mix together 2 tablespoons of the sauce from the crock pot and the cornstarch. Add to the crock pot 

add your broccoli. cook for an additional 30 minutes for the broccoli to cook and the sauce to thicken.

serve over hot rice. Enjoy!

  2. yummo! btw, what is beef consumme? is it like beef stock or thicker? where can i get it or what can i use as a substitute?
