Chicken and Noodles

This recipes is one of my personal favorites! My Mom used to make it all the time and when we hadn't had it for a while I would bed her to make it. It is even better the next day.

1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup flour
7-8 chicken boullion cubes
1 bag extra wide egg noodles
2-3 boneless skinless chicken breasts



Boil the chicken breasts until completely cooked (they will float to the top)


In a bowl with 2 cups of boiling hot water dissolve the boullion cubes


It will look like this


Once the chicken is done shred and set aside


Cook the egg noodles as directed 


In a large skillet add the oil and heat


add the flour


whisk together to create a roux for the gravy


When the noodles are done keep about 1 1/2 cups of the water and add to the boullion mixture. Slowly whisk into the roux, it will thicken as you go. Add salt and pepper to taste.


Mix the noodles, chicken and gravy together


Yum!!!
