Country Style Steak

This recipe is very easy and tasty! 

1 pound beef cube steaks
1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon garlic salt
2 cups beef broth
1/2 cup olive oil


mix together the flour, pepper, garlic salt and garlic powder

heat the oil on medium heat in a skillet

coat the meat in the flour mixture; save 3 tablespoons of the flour mixture

coat both sides

place meat in the skillet

while the meat is cooking mix together the 3 tablespoons of flour mixture and beef broth; set aside

cook meat on each side for 5 minutes until golden brown

place the meat in a baking dish and pour the broth mixture over top

cover with foil and bake for 2 hours at 350 degrees

once done, spoon sauce over meat and enjoy!!!

Crock Pot Barbeque Beef

This recipe is incredibly simple and absolutely delicious!!

1 boneless chuck roast
18 oz barbeque sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
salt and pepper
hamburger buns


place roast in crock pot. season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper

add the barbeque sauce. I used sweet baby rays. cook on low for 7 hours

after the 7 hours take out the meat and shred.

return to the crock pot and cook for an additional hour; serve hot

Grilled Chicken Taco Bowls

This recipe is sooo easy and absolutely delicious. You can add any type of ingredients you want and that's what makes it great.

whole wheat tortillas
2-3 chicken breasts
black olives
refried beans
lettuce
mexican rice
mexican style cheese


lightly grease any size bowls that you can bake the tortilla in. I used to small ramekins and they worked great.

place the tortilla in the ramekin; bake at 325 degrees for 10-13 minutes until golden brown

cut the chicken breasts into strips and season with salt and pepper

place in a skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until brown and cooked all the way through. Cut into chunks before serving

assemble your taco bowl!

Crock Pot Chicken and Rice

As you all can tell I love my crock pot. Here is an amazing recipe:

2-3 chicken breasts
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 cup rice
(I added broccoli and chicken broth)


add the rice to the crock pot

 add the chicken, soups and 1 cup chicken brother, plus salt and pepper to taste

cook on low for 4 hours, 30 minutes before done add the broccoli. Enjoy!

Inside Out Peppermint Patties

I love peppermint patties and I wanted to find a less messy way to make them. These are very easy and delicious!!

1lb powdered sugar
4 oz cream cheese; softened
1 teaspoon peppermint extract
6 oz semi sweet chocolate chips; melted


add the cream cheese to a mixing bowl

slowly add the powdered sugar until fully combined; it should be moldable not stick. add the peppermint while you are mixing all of this together.

roll into teaspoon size balls and place on a parchment lined baking sheet

use a 1/4 teaspoon and made an indentation in each

should look like this; place into the refrigerator and lets sit for at least 2 hours until set

melt chocolate and pipe into each well. let set up in the refrigerator for 10 minutes and then store in an airtight container. Enjoy!!

Cinnamon Sugar Pecans

A fellow blogger posted this recipe and I had to try it. It is incredibly easy and the perfect snack.

3 cups pecans
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1 egg white
1 teaspoon vanilla


mix together the sugar and cinnamon

it will look like this

whisk the egg white with the vanilla in frothy

add the walnuts to the egg white

coat the pecans with the cinnamon sugar mixture

 bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes

Sauteed Chicken

This recipe is incredibly easy and has a ton of flavor, it will definitely become a permanent fixture in our house.

2-3 chicken breasts (depending on how many people you are feeding)
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
kosher salt
pepper blend seasoning (or any pepper based seasoning)
1 cup chicken broth
fresh parsley; chopped



 place the chicken between 2 pieces of plastic wrap and pound flat (it will cook more evenly). season with the pepper blend and kosher salt

heat a skillet on medium heat. melt the butter until it's foamy

add the olive oil and let the foam subside

 place the chicken in the skillet cook for 5 minutes without touching

flip over and cook for an additional 5 minutes

 heat the oven to 200 degrees and place the chicken in the oven to stay warm while you make the sauce

 turn heat to high..add the chicken broth and scrape the pan. Let cooks for 5-10 minutes


drizzle chicken with sauce and garnish with fresh parsley
